PTE tests your English speaking skills through read aloud, repeat sentence, describe image, retell lecture, and short answer questions. The PTE software assesses you on these questions primarily on fluency and pronunciation. Therefore, even if your vocabulary and grammar are not very good, you can still score high marks in the speaking section of PTE.
Use fillers instead of pauses, rise your tone on contrast words and falling tone at the end of the sentence can give you good score. Even if you make a mistake, don’t stop just keep speaking. Pay attention to the articles and plurals in the sentence. Maintain a normal rate of speech and at the start of the exam, you will be allowed to test the microphone. For fill in the blanks, determine the parts of speech of the missing words and eliminate all the options that are grammatically incorrect and make a lexically appropriate choice.
Try to find the main idea of the text as soon as possible and then start answering. Collocation is very useful in getting the right answer in minimum time. Answer all questions and use guesswork even if you are not sure about the answer. There is no negative marking in this section.

For summarize spoken text restrict your answer to 50-70 words. You can start with saying something like “The speaker said”, use the provided notepad to write down the keywords. Close your eyes for better attention. Focus on the theme and the most repeated words.
Don't make blind guesses while answering MCQs as these questions has negative marking. Read the questions before the audio starts and stay focused till the end as the answers could be in the end.
