Trinity College, Dublin:

Inspired by the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Trinity College is the most prestigious university of Ireland and is ranked 88 across the globe. The faculties of the Trinity College include Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Science, Mathematics and Engineering, and Health Science.

University College, Dublin:

Based in Dublin, University College is rooted in the Catholic University of Ireland. Ranked 168 in the world, the University is associated with five separate colleges, 18 institutes of research and 34 notable schools. The alumni of this university include significant personalities like Irish novelist James Joyce, Oscar-winning director Neil Jordan and actor Gabriel Byrne.

National University of Ireland, Galway:

The rank of National University of Ireland, Galway, is on a slow but steady rise, and is currently positioned at 243 across the globe. The campus is being redeveloped and rejuvenated at an expense of 400 million dollars. The university offers several unconventional courses like BSc in Podiatry, BE in Sports and Exercise Engineering etc.

University College Cork:
This university has been officially renamed as National University of Ireland; Cork is the first university in the world that received the International Green Flag in the year 2010 owing to its environmental sustainability programme. Dublin City University:
